Oh my gosh – looking through all the sessions from 2016 made me feel everything under the sun. Joy, sadness, and so much empathy for families that are figuring out this parenthood thing – I'll be with you someday.But mostly I feel grateful.Grateful that my husband has patience with me while I tread these sometimes murky business owner waters.Grateful for friends who tell me if my thoughts are appropriate for blog posts.Grateful for communities of photographers that lift each other up.Grateful that others see value in honest memories, amazing personalities, and real moments – without people like them I would not be able to pursue this career.Grateful that this year turned a bit of a profit, which will be used towards developing my photography skills, and hiring a business coach to help me go through all the big and little things inside the business – making sure I give my clients an even better experience in 2017.Profoundly grateful for all the families who trusted me with their most intimate of times and spaces.Some of my favorite family, baby, newborn, nursing and birth photos from the past year:
